Step by step
What a same-day swap looks like
Same day means this order, on a workday, when the tank is one we stock and you reach us by early afternoon.
- 01
Step 1: You call or text a photo of the label
Size, fuel and age are on it. Shanta books the van and checks we have the tank.
- 02
Step 2: We confirm the price in writing
Repair and replace, both numbers, by text. Nothing starts until you say yes.
- 03
Step 3: The van arrives and the water goes off
We shut off water and power or gas, drain the old tank and protect the floor.
- 04
Step 4: Old tank out, new tank in
New connectors and shutoff valve, a drain pan where the house needs one, and the venting or wiring checked.
- 05
Step 5: Lit, tested, explained
We fill, check every joint for drips, light or power it, and show you where the shutoff is. The old tank leaves with us.
What we hook up
The part you don't see: the hookup
A good swap is mostly the connections. We replace what a new tank needs and tell you what the house needs besides.
On the list
New flexible connectors and a shutoff valve on the cold line
A relief valve and a pipe run to a safe place
A drain pan where the heater sits inside the house
Venting or wiring checked against what the tank needs

Questions about a swap
How long does it take?
Most swaps take a few hours once the van is at the house. A tight attic or a venting change takes longer, and we say so first.
Can you switch me to tankless the same day?
Usually not. A tankless heater often needs a bigger gas line or a new circuit, so we order it and give you a date.
Do you pull the permit?
Where the city requires one, yes, and it is on the written price.
What about the old tank?
It leaves with us, and the haul-away is on the price.
Ready to book the van?
